It reflects a comprehensive lighting strategy spanning heritage architecture, contemporary interiors, landscape, and multi-level connectivity, reinforcing the scale and prestige of the development. The conserved structure was reimagined as a refined clubhouse where character meets modern precision. In the lounge, calibrated beam control and layered illumination accentuate sculptural forms, art pieces, and textured finishes, creating depth and visual clarity across generous communal spaces. Across the landscape, lighting unifies the clubhouse, swimming pool, and Level 5, ensuring seamless transitions while preserving the distinct identity of each zone. Anchored by an integrated coffee counter and a warm material palette, the space softens the formality of a traditional office while supporting a range of functions, from informal discussions to corporate meetings, presentations, and large gatherings within the auditorium. Lighting is carefully calibrated to support the distinct needs of each space. Meeting rooms feature balanced, glare-controlled illumination for clarity and focus, while the auditorium uses controlled beam angles and layered lighting to enhance presentations and audience comfort. Across lounge and circulation areas, softer ambient lighting creates a welcoming atmosphere. High-bay LED floodlights ensure uniform brightness across production areas, reducing shadows and enhancing safety for workers. Integrated linear ceiling lights provide continuous, glare-free illumination in corridors, reinforcing visual clarity and circulation flow. Projection lighting is applied on the flooring to create intuitive directional guidance, improving wayfinding within the collaborative zones. At Klimt Cairnhill, a 36-storey luxury residence in Singapore’s prime District 9, Illuminating Asia delivered a lighting design that enhances both architectural features and landscaped spaces with precision and artistry. On Level 2, the centrepiece golden tree is illuminated using high-lumen narrow-beam spotlights to establish a striking vertical focal point visible from multiple vantage points. Inground uplights add dimensionality by projecting light upward, creating a sculptural play of highlights and shadows. A linear wall washer ensures the feature wall maintains visual balance, while step lights and tree uplights provide layered illumination for both safety and ambience. On Level 5, the pool deck lighting was designed to create a refined, resort-like atmosphere. Linear perimeter lighting defines the pool’s edges, while submersible spotlights enhance water depth and highlight surface movement. Carefully positioned bollards provide safe circulation lighting, while tree uplights introduce vertical contrast and spatial depth. The combination results in a tranquil yet functional environment, where technical performance and aesthetic elegance coexist seamlessly.

A Symphony of Light and Structure Our lighting design for Design Orchard embodies grandeur and elegance, transforming the space into a welcoming yet impressive environment. From the moment shoppers arrive, a distinctive installation of classic filament bulbs draws attention at the entrance—layered with depth and visual intrigue. This striking feature sets the tone for a sophisticated retail experience. Entrance Feature: Warm Glow & Precision Design We showcased the entrance with a precise dot arrangement of LED bulb fixtures, casting a warm and inviting glow. The use of a 2700K color temperature enhances this ambiance, creating a visually harmonious space that feels both intimate and grand. Each bulb’s placement was meticulously calculated to complement the architectural scale, ensuring a balanced and proportional design. Main Atrium: A Refresh of Grandeur To enhance the sense of majesty in the main atrium, we carried out a strategic lighting refresh. Linear lighting was seamlessly integrated into the signature wooden ring structure—emphasizing its form while elevating it as a central architectural feature. All existing spotlights were upgraded to high-performance luminaires, producing a vibrant and well-defined layered ambiance. Enhancing Brightness with Layered Illumination Additional surface-mounted downlights were thoughtfully positioned throughout the atrium to elevate overall brightness without overwhelming the space. This layered approach enhances visual comfort while maintaining a luxurious and immersive atmosphere. A Lighting Statement in Brutalist Architecture The overall concept balances aesthetic appeal with functional performance, paying homage to the building’s brutalist industrial architecture. Through thoughtful illumination, we created a warm and sophisticated atmosphere that invites connection and elevates the retail experience.
