Lighting Engineering Associate (Intern) — Job Description: Join our team as a Lighting Engineering Associate (Intern) and work on cutting-edge projects in the public and built environment infrastructure industries. You’ll be involved in lighting solutions, electronic engineering applications, project management, and daily operations. This role includes technical research, site work, construction, urban development planning, and applications in the electronics and IoT industries. You’ll also engage in sourcing, purchasing, and evaluating lighting solutions, identifying potential lighting technology trends, and preparing for future development. Additionally, you’ll design, plan, implement, program, and troubleshoot hands-on lighting applications. If time and opportunity permit, you may participate in international competitions.   Responsibilities: Lighting solutions, electronic engineering applications, and project management. Daily operations related to public and built environment infrastructure industries. Technical research and solutions project management. Sourcing, purchasing, and evaluating lighting for construction and infrastructure projects. Identifying potential lighting technology trends and preparing for future development. Hands-on design, planning, implementation, programming, and troubleshooting of lighting applications. Research and product development of patented state-of-the-art smart building solutions. Participation in international competitions (if time and opportunity permit).   Pre-requisites: Understanding of global trends in lighting, semiconductors, nanotechnology, light fidelity, and wireless technology. Knowledge of lighting hardware and complementary technologies for visual displays. Sales skills, research, and presentation skills for MNCs and SMEs. Experience with interactive and experiential lighting setups for creative marketing agencies (local/overseas opportunities). Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-adrenaline environment with challenging timelines and deliverables. High-level data gathering, SWOT analysis, industry trend identification, and digital marketing skills. Experience in sourcing, purchasing, and conducting due diligence on products and suppliers.
